World Mental Health Day

On Thursday, for Mental Health Day, Birch Class discussed the importance of looking after ourselves, both our bodies and our minds. We looked at different emotions and identified when we might feel these feelings. After our discussion of emotions we recognised who could help us when we’re feeling angry or sad. We then spent 15 minutes listening to calming music as part of our Music lesson and doing some mindfulness colouring.
We all felt very relaxed after!

Many classes took the time today to practice mindfulness and talk about the importance of recognising your own feelings. It was lovely to see how children took the time to calm down and reflect on their own emotions.

Our members of staff also got together this morning for a coffee morning. We had an opportunity to reflect on our own well-being and share a calm moment together before the busy school day started.
