Stars of the Week 3rd March 2022



Aria and David for their super book reviews during our World Book Day learning. 


Aisha and Sonia for their amazing work during our new guided reading sessions this week. They have tried really hard on their decoding skills and working on adding expression to their reading.


Kyle – for your improvement in your behaviour and fantastic engagement in all the lessons, this week. Keep up this attitude .


Ioana and Rayan for your incredible work in writing this week. You’ve worked so hard on your presentation and ideas. Well done. 


Dennis – for being much more focused and persistent, especially in English. Well done for writing strong arguments for and against using conjunctions, and clearly expressing your own opinion.

Thea – for asking questions that challenge inequality and gender stereotypes. We have been so impressed by how you have used your inclusive ideas to write convincing arguments.


Lauren- For her effort and patience in all lessons and throughout the day. Not only do you wait patiently for an adult when you need help. You are also incredibly helpful and kind to others. Well done.

Emilia- For your incredible understanding of themes in our guided reading lesson. You were able to provide how love, friendship and loneliness were presented in ‘The Giving Tree’. Well done.


Whole class for the incredible work and effort during swimming this week. Their ability to face their fears and the behaviour shown were extraordinarily great even though it was out of their routine and the school building. Adults were very impressed by their determination and maturity.


Elizabeth, Jayden and Baye.  All three children have been putting good effort into their work and have been participating really well in class discussions. Keep it Up.


Izabela- for excellent work in guided reading this week, some great answers using inference skills. 

Ana- for being an excellent year 5 role model and for being persistent in English


Nicole- for tackling a challenging English unit with confidence

Miriam- for growing in confidence in maths, and being a responsible and enthusiastic learner


Luke for his Science, working really hard and helping others.

Maeve for always being ready to learn and having a great attitude to her learning.


Beau – for continued hard work across all subject, working very hard on his handwriting and his math skills. Well done.

Daniel – for expert knowledge in Algebra, a delight to see and teach. Well done.
