On Wednesday 10th July, we held our annual Singing Celebrations and what celebrations they were!
Over the last 5 years Central Primary School has worked closely with the Voices Foundation to support and develop musicianship. Our annual Singing Celebration gives the children and their teachers an opportunity to show the many musical skills they have been taught and learned over the year. We saw incredible examples of pitch matching, changing the tempo, feeling the phrase, pulse and rhythm with our bodies and timbre, the quality of the sound.
The children were fantastic performers but also knew and understood the purpose of why each musical skill is important and how to use that skill to manipulate the music. It was brilliant to see so many adults join and celebrate with us!
To get a better understanding of the incredible work the Voices Foundation does in our school, watch the Impact Film that was filmed last year.
