This week, some of the Year 6 children have been on a residential trip to the Isle of Wight. It has been a fantastic experience for them to see a different part of the country and take part in many different activities including fossil hunting, bowling, boat trips around the island and so much more. Its been an excellent opportunity for the children to develop some independence which will no doubt help prepare them for secondary school. The children have represented Central Primary School incredibly well and all the staff we have come in to contact with have commented on their politeness.
Here are a couple of thoughts from the children on the week:
“It’s been a lovely week and I’ve enjoyed every activity” Lyna – Oak Class
“Every day has been a fantastic adventure” Umar – Chestnut Class
“This is the first time I’ve been on a boat!” Jack – Oak Class
