Dear children and parents/carers at Central Primary School,
It is with sadness that I write to you to tell you that I am leaving Central Primary School at the end of May. I will be moving back to my birth town, Munich, to start a teaching job there, enabling me to be closer to my parents and support them more.
Up to this day, I had hoped that somehow, I would be able to say good-bye in person to as many of you as possible. Sadly, naughty rascal Covid has made that impossible. ☹
I have so enjoyed working with all those of you with whom I have been able to interact these past three years. Not only the current, wonderful Beam class but also the children from Beech class and, of course, those of you who are now in Walnut, Willow and Wisteria classes, to all of whom I have taught at least certain subjects. I have also had the joy of working with the children who have attended my Music and German Clubs, our fantastic and gifted choir and, more recently, the pupils who have continued coming to school throughout the Covid 19 lockdown.
I have enjoyed working with each and every one of you. Your enthusiasm, stories, smiles and occasional cheekiness 😊 have brought me joy and made me giggle, too. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being “you”! You are a fantastic group of children, who make our super school community the wonderful place that it is.
To the parents/carers with whom I have had contact—a warm thank you for being such a valuable, generous part of our school community and for all the support and cooperation you have given me throughout my time at Central.
I am excited that my class will be taken on by Millariina Myllymaki who, with Miss Khatun, is already working hard to plan for and work with Beam class. I know you will make her feel valued and welcome—I sense that she will be fantastic!
Until I leave the school, I will remain on twitter with my (very basic) tweets and videos (not a techie, nor an artist, as you all know!!!) , so do keep saying hello on there (@MissRieger1).
I wish you all the very best for the rest of the lockdown and beyond. Stay safe, stay well, keep working and smiling. I know you will all continue to shine.
I miss you already
With love from Miss Rieger
