Anti-Bullying Week

This week was anti-bullying week. The aim of this week was to unite together against bullying. It’s of critical importance that all of our community know how to identify bullying and then ways in which to tackle this.

We began the week by having ‘Odd Socks Day’. This was to make a statement that everyone is different and we are all equal. Miss Paalanen Tweeted about how important it is that we celebrate how unique and wonderful everyone is in our community. We were really lucky to have a personal message from Andy Day who is the Patron of the Anti-Bullying Alliance. He was very impressed with the work we are doing as a school to celebrate Anti-Bullying week.

There have been events and activities happening all across the school from making network hands, setting class goals, discussing scenarios, making pledges and listening to the new song by Andy and the Odd Socks as well as tuning in to the virtual assembly!

It is important as a community that we take the meaning behind anti-bullying week and ensure that we unite against bullying every day. We firmly believe as community that everyone has the right to feel safe, respected and treated with kindness.
