Alex Bear in Year 4

Beam class were hugely excited to welcome a new friend this week: Alex the bear was introduced by Mrs Ribeiro in her French lesson on Monday and has been spending time with Beam class throughout this week.
Alex is visiting us from Nuernberg in Germany and is extremely curious about what things are like at Central Primary and what children do at home after  school. As he is making wonderfully pro-social choices, he is allowed to participate in all lessons and has, so far, made active contributions to all our lessons. He chooses different children to sit with, and is supporting them in their work. At the end of the day, he chooses which child he likes to go home with and has, so far, spent one evening with Anvee and one evening with Shannon. He has also joined our children at lunch-time club and was even allowed to play outside with them!
Alex is most indignant that his bear counterpart, Ben, who  is en his route to Nuernberg as we speak,  has not yet arrived there. He had a good grumble today because he thinks Ben has stopped off en route to take a holiday . Once Ben arrives in Nuernberg, both bears can communicate more actively with each other. That said, Beam class has already started sharing with the children in Munich what Alex is up to, and we are looking forward to hearing back from them once Ben has finally reached his destination.
