NQT Training

We have hosted a local Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) network for the past five years. As part of this network we provide fortnightly twilight training sessions to NQTs to support them in their first year of teaching.

The programme for 2017 – 2018 looks like this:

Autumn 2017

Thursday 7th September 2017 Session 1: Welcome/ Behaviour Management
• Developing expectations and routines
• Behaviour for learning and managing low-level disruption
• Support Systems and advice 4pm – 5pm

Thursday 21st September 2017 Session 2: English (Reading and Writing focused)
• Guided Reading/ Whole Class Texts
• Reading for pleasure
